EXCLUSIVE: Caroline Rush Is Stepping Down as CEO of the British Fashion Council

LONDON — After an action-packed 15 years, Caroline Rush plans to step down in June as chief executive officer of the British Fashion Council, and the search for her successor is on. The London-based Egon Zehnder is leading the search, supported by BFC chair David Pemsel, who has extended his tenure to 2025 to ensure a smooth transition. An announcement is expected Thursday. Rush joined the BFC in April 2009, and her job evolved rapidly from manager and marketer to fundraiser, lobbyist and crisis controller. Her tenure has spanned seven prime ministers, five U.K. general elections, and a slew of challenges triggered by Brexit and the pandemic. While both shows feature Urie in showstopping musical numbers, he never considered himself to be “very musical.”  Michael Urie in “Once Upon a Mattress.” “Doing a musical at all, it’s still a pinch me thing,” he says. “I fell in love with theater because of musicals…[but singing] didn’t come naturally to me.”  Urie con

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. While there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a fresh manicure, constant trips to the salon can become super expensive. This cost can make it hard to motivate yourself to try new things, and just generally prohibitive. That said, recently there have been tons and tons of press-on nail options popping up on Amazon. These are not the cheap press on nails from the early 90s; these are high-quality, durable and perhaps most importantly, absolutely beautiful. Amazon Prime members will get free shipping in just two days, so they’re the perfect option for those looking to throw on some nails before a big event or last minute gathering. Since they’re all attached with glue, they are super easy to apply. You simply dab a small amount of the provided glue onto the inside of the press on nail and place it on your real nail.
