The Standout Fashion Moments From the 2021 NBA Draft

If there was ever a moment to make your fashion debut in the NBA, it would be draft day. On Thursday, big names like Cade Cunningham, Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Kuminga dressed to the nines as they walked into Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The first-round draft pick was Cunningham, a freshman point guard from Oklahoma State, who will go to the Detroit Pistons. Cunningham partnered with Neiman Marcus in picking out his ensemble. He wore a two-piece tuxedo suit from Isaia and black Christian Louboutin spiked low-top sneakers. Davion Mitchell, the point guard from Baylor who will be heading to Sacramento to play for the Kings, also partnered with Neiman Marcus for the draft. Everything to Know About Gymnastics All-around Gold Medalist Sunisa Lee

The U.S.’ Sunisa Lee is an Olympic gold medal winner. On Thursday, Lee finished with a total score of 57.433 in the individual all-around, placing her above her opponents to earn the gold. Following behind her was Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade and Russian Olympic Committee’s Angelina Melnikova, who earned the silver and bronze medals, respectively. The 18-year-old is the fifth consecutive American to win the all-around title, following Carly Patterson in 2004, Nastia Liukin in 2008, Gabby Douglas in 2012 and Simone Biles in 2016. Though Biles returned for her second Olympics this year to defend her titles from Rio 2016, she cheered her teammate on from the stands this time around after withdrawing from both the team and individual all-around events due to mental health. Andrade took part in the event as an individual competitor, since her team failed to qualify after four consecutive Olympic appearances. She made history on Thursday as her silver medal is the first Olympic medal won by a fem

Burberry Unveils Hero, Riccardo Tisci’s First Fragrance for the Brand

LONDON — Burberry is launching a new men’s fragrance with Coty called Burberry Hero, and the campaign features actor Adam Driver photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Hero is the second major fragrance to launch since Coty acquired the Burberry license in 2017, and follows a top-selling women’s fragrance called Burberry Her. The latest juice is Burberry chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci’s first for the brand. Tisci said creating a fragrance “is such a personal and intimate process, and I especially felt this for Burberry Hero.” Tisci said he wanted the fragrance to “encapsulate modern masculinity, to play on the essence of primal human and animal instincts. I am so thrilled to have worked with Adam Driver. He has incredible depth in articulating what masculinity means today — how strength can be subtle, and emotions can empower.” Driver also appears in the film, which was shot by Jonathan Glazer, and shows the actor horseback riding and communing with nature. Theophilio Debuts Swim Collection

Edvin Thompson, Theophilio designer and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund recipient, debuted his new swim collection during Miami Swim Week. The swim collection is inspired by his homeland Jamaica and its sunrises and sunsets. “The colors used in this collection reminded me of the many moments while living in the hills of Jamaica. The countryside was my world, it was all I knew growing up in Jamaica. The vibrant colors constantly reminded me of how alive I was. The rivers and oceans aided many juvenile activities. I want to hold on to that image with this swim collection,” he said. Swim sets are $135, headpieces are $90 and minidresses are $225, all which will be available mid-August. A Breakdown of Nastia Liukin’s Colorful Tokyo Olympics Style

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin may not be competing in the Tokyo Summer Olympics, but her colorful style has been stealing the spotlight as she provides commentary for the sport. Liukin — who won five Olympic medals in gymnastics at the 2008 Beijing Games, including gold in the all-around competition — has made an impact on Olympics viewers with her colorful, monochromatic style in bright hues of purple, blue, orange and pink. “Everything is thought out, really symbolic and very detailed regarding the colors that she’s wearing,” said Liukin’s fashion stylist, Gabriela Tena, who spoke to WWD from Spain. “We try to do a different color for each look so it’s not all the same color and it’s like a color storyboard almost.” Tena explained that many of Liukin’s colorful looks have a meaning behind them. For Liukin’s first day providing gymnastics commentary for NBC, for example, the Olympic gymnast paid homage to the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi with her purple Safiyaa pants and mat

A Fashion Show in Homage to Alber Elbaz Will Close Paris Fashion Week

AZ Factory, the fashion start-up initiated by Alber Elbaz, is set to close Paris Fashion Week this fall with a fashion show in homage to the beloved designer, who died on April 24 from COVID-19. Titled “Love Brings Love,” the show has been scheduled for Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. CET and “will pay tribute to Alber’s creative vision and his extraordinary love for the fashion family,” the brand said in a brief statement. The next women’s fashion week in the French capital is scheduled for Sept. 27 to Oct. 5. Based in Paris, AZ Factory is a joint venture with Compagnie Financière Richemont hinged on projects rather than collections, and with storytelling, problem-solving and entertainment embedded in design, distribution and communications. Laurent Malecaze, chief executive officer of AZ Factory, previously described the memorial in Paris as coming together “to honor Alber with a celebration of his life and his visionary work, aiming to bring the same level of passion and love that he brought to us

A Delicate Balance for NBC News Anchors Covering Pandemic-Hobbled Tokyo Olympics

Lester Holt was due to fly to Tokyo in less than 24 hours to cover the year-delayed Summer Games, when Toshiro Muto, chief of the organizing committee, said last Tuesday that he could not rule out an 11th hour cancellation of the troubled $15 billion event. It was only the latest in a steady stream of dire pronouncements emerging from Japan since the International Olympic Committee determined to forge ahead with a global sporting event in the midst of a pandemic. Holt was not fazed. “I was not at all surprised to hear the Games were subject to cancellation even that close to the Opening Ceremony,” said Holt. The “Nightly News” anchor boarded his flight last Wednesday and — after completing reams of paperwork on the plane and enduring three hours of checkpoints and medical screening (including a COVID-19 test) — was anchoring the newscast from Tokyo by Thursday, one day before the Opening Ceremony. “Lester and I had a good laugh about it,” says “Nightly” executive producer Jennifer Suoz

Tokyo Olympics: All About the Teen Medalists So Far

Though names like Lydia Jacoby and Momiji Nishiya may not have rung a bell only a week ago, they sure will now. With most of the spotlight on household names to take home medals at the Tokyo Olympics this year, many have unintentionally overlooked the abilities of the younger athletes. Ranging in age from as young as 13 to 18, these athletes have shocked fans in their triumphs so far, achieving gold medals in sports such as swimming, skateboarding and gymnastics. There is no formal minimum age for the Olympics, but individual sports do have eligibility requirements. Here, WWD takes a look at all teen athletes who have medaled at the Summer Olympics so far. Simone Biles Unsure of Return to Olympics After Withdrawal from Gymnastics Team Event

Simone Biles is unsure of her return to the Tokyo Olympics. The 24-year-old withdrew in the gymnastics team all-around event on Tuesday, citing a “medical issue” according to an official USA Gymnastics statement. However, it was not a physical injury that hindered Biles’ performance, but mental health, stating the pressure to be successful and stress of being the greatest gymnast in history was too difficult to combat. “Physically she is fine,” Biles’ coach told NBC. “But she is done for tonight.” In the vault stage of the team event, Biles struggled with her landing, which cost Team USA points as they faced difficult competition in the Russian Olympic Committee. Afterward, she left the floor with her trainer and withdrew from the event as a whole. Official statement: "Simone Biles has withdrawn from the team final competition due to a medical issue. She will be assessed daily to determine medical clearance for future competitions." Thinking of you, Simone! pic.twitter.com/QA

The actress and producer shared photos on her Instagram on Monday from her wedding ceremony to banking professional Louis Diame in the South of France on Sunday, giving a closer look at her custom Vera Wang wedding dress. 11 Standout Fashion Moments From the Tokyo Olympics Opening Ceremony

The Tokyo Summer Olympics may be about sports, but the opening ceremony produced several major fashion moments that made an impact on viewers. The Summer Games officially started on Friday with more than 11,000 athletes from 206 countries coming together at the opening ceremony in Tokyo. The ceremony was unlike any in Olympics history, as the show was scaled back and virtually no spectators were permitted due to the pandemic. Despite the changes, the opening ceremony produced several impressive moments, especially among the sartorial choices of the athletes and performers. Japanese singer Misia, for one, had a viral moment when she sang Japan’s national anthem dressed in a rainbow, cotton candy-like couture dress from designer Tomo Koizumi. Many team uniforms also made an impact on viewers, both ones that resonated for their high-fashion quality and homage to various cultures and others that became fodder for memes. Here, WWD looks at 11 of the standout fashion moments from the Tokyo S

How to Buy KKW Beauty’s Bestsellers Before the Brand Closes

KKW Beauty fans still have a chance to grab the brand’s bestsellers before it temporarily shutters at the end of the month. Kim Kardashian West revealed on July 7 that after roughly four years of running her KKW Beauty brand, she would be temporarily shutting down in order to rebrand with “new formulas that are more modern, innovative and packaged in an elevated and sustainable new look.” While it was speculated that the rebrand was due to Kardashian West’s divorce from Kanye West, a source close to the brand and the founder confirmed the rebrand has “nothing to do with dropping the ‘W’ from KKW” and that West has even played a role in the rebrand. With just over a week before KKW Beauty’s website is shut down on Aug. 1 at midnight, the brand is still offering many of its bestselling products at 20 to 75 percent off. Here, WWD breaks down how to buy KKW Beauty’s bestsellers before the end of the month. Powder Contour & Highlight Kits KKW Beauty’s Powder Contour & Highlight Kits

Sparking Inclusivity in Fashion

When Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana (CNMI), Italy’s fashion governing body, first announced its commitment to promote inclusivity and diversity in 2018 within fashion in 2018 the company started with education. Published in 2019, CNMI’s Inclusion and Diversity Manifesto highlighted the path forward for Italian companies including inclusivity strategies that took into consideration ethnicity, age, socio-economic conditions and different skill levels. Now, with an established foundation in its commitment, CNMI has joined forces with Mygrants, the platform developed by Christian Richmond Nzi that since its foundation has provided career and placement services to migrants and refugees in Italy, to put its goals into action. “We are proud to present this new project, marking an important step in the evolution process to make our fashion system more and more inclusive,” said Carlo Capasa, chairman for Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. “Following the release of our Manifesto in 2019

Jackson Wang on One Year of Team Wang

SHANGHAI — Jackson Wang is known for many things. He’s an Asian pop phenomenon, a jokester TV host, and a polyglot who can switch between four languages. When it comes to fashion, his most high-profile project is as ambassador for Fendi. But when he sits down to talk with WWD, it’s to discuss Team Wang, the fashion lifestyle brand that he founded with his childhood friend and former schoolmate, Henry Cheung. The label was born this time a year ago in the midst of the pandemic, which in part explains why – while not entirely low-profile – the brand is more under the radar than his other pursuits. Wang’s success as a musician towers over anything he touches. The singer last week released a new song “California,” one of the many projects that has kept him on the road. When he steps into the Team Wang office in Xintiandi, it’s the first time he’s seen the space after the business moved to accommodate his expanding team. Now a year old, Team Wang has so far kept a limited distribution. It c

Everything to Know About the ‘Sex and the City’ Reboot

“Sex and the City” fans are getting closer to seeing the much-anticipated reboot. Since announcing the new series, titled “And Just Like That,” in January, the show has made several major cast announcements, bringing back three out of four of its leading actresses — Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes and Kristen Davis as Charlotte York — as well as tapping a list of new and diverse actors to bring a fresh spin to the reboot. HBO Max revealed its first look at the “Sex and the City” reboot earlier this month as filming began in New York City, showing the three lead actresses dressed in looks that pay homage to their characters’ well-known style. While the original series’ costume designer, Patricia Field, is not returning for the reboot due to scheduling conflicts, the new show is expected to deliver the same iconic fashion moments. The original “Sex and the City” is based on the book by Candace Bushnell and aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004. The show

Uri Minkoff Shares Insights Into Fashion Marketing

You have a brand, a website, maybe a store and a stunning collection of products to sell. Now what? Well, you need customers, of course. But how do you find them? And how do you get them to come back and shop again? That’s when marketing comes in. And just like developing and launching a brand, marketing, which some consider being the most important part of running a business, requires a well-thought-out strategy. It’s within this context that Parsons and WWD’s latest module (as part of Fashion Business Essentials, which is powered by Yellowbrick and includes insights from Parsons’ faculty as well as industry experts) focuses on marketing strategies. To learn more about Fashion Business Essentials, visit the site here. In this module, students learn the different strategies businesses use to find and retain their consumers because course administrators said “understanding of fundamental marketing techniques and technologies is essential, whether you’re using social media or an optimize

Digital Bias: The New Frontier for Retail Inclusivity

For years, retailers have been trying to mitigate the effects of inherent bias or unintended discrimination in their physical shopping experiences. And while no-one would claim the problem has been solved entirely, many retailers are now taking steps to make sure their customers aren’t profiled by the way they look, who they’re with, or how they dress or act when they walk into a store. But with shopping becoming an increasingly digital experience, retailers must confront a new and perhaps more unfamiliar challenge: digital bias. Instead of combatting prejudice or unconscious bias among frontline workers, retailers must now look to eliminate bias in their own data, in the related algorithms, and the use of these in their digital practices. New retail, new risks This is a growing issue. More and more shopping is moving online, a trend that was supercharged by the massive digital acceleration seen during the pandemic. At the same time, retailers are looking to ramp up their abilities to

Late Night TV Emerges From the Pandemic With Live Audiences and Less Trump

Last summer, “The Tonight Show” supervising producer Sarah Connell was forced to consider the projectile distance of spit from the end of a wind instrument. Jimmy Fallon was itching to get back into the studio after several months of doing a version of his show from his Hamptons compound. And Connell and her colleagues had to figure out how they could return to Rockefeller Center and adhere to New York’s pandemic socially distanced guidelines. They would tape the show in studio 6A, across the hall from “Tonight’s” home studio, the 200-plus capacity studio 6B. The former home of Megyn Kelly’s daytime talk show, 6A would allow for social distancing between The Roots because some of the house band members could be perched on a balcony above the other musicians. “The horns can’t be too close because there’s spit,” says Connell. “We had to figure out how far apart they would be. We had to think about all of these things that we never had to think about before. We brought The Roots in, but n

A Closer Look at Olivia Rodrigo’s White House Outfit

President Joe Biden has tapped Olivia Rodrigo for her help. On Wednesday, the 18-year-old pop star visited the White House to assist the Biden administration in its effort to help urge more young people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Rodrigo met with President Biden, as well as his chief COVID-19 medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, to record videos for the cause. Rodrigo, who currently has the number-one selling album in the U.S., stepped into the West Wing in a chic and preppy getup. The pink plaid and tweed matching set, à la Cher Horowitz of “Clueless” meets Jackie Kennedy, is a vintage Chanel suit from 1995, according to an Instagram account dedicated to Rodrigo’s outfits. The singer paired the suit with white, sky-high Giuseppe Zanotti platform heels, black calf socks (think Blair Waldorf from “Gossip Girl”) and a black, mini Amina Muaddi suede purse. Jen Psaki, White House press secretary, introduces Olivia Rodrigo, during a news conference.  AP During her visit, Rodrigo had the opp

Eye for Design

Staying ahead of the curve is everything when it comes to differentiating in design — and that’s why LINDBERG, a Danish eyewear company, leads with a sleek, modern aesthetic and continuously pushes boundaries for ideation in the space. Its latest launch is “thintanium,” an eyewear concept and patent-pending eyewear collection made with what may be the thinnest full-plate titanium ever used in the industry. LINDBERG’s engineers and designers created the concept and manufactured it in Denmark with its in-house experts. Referred to as an “engineering milestone” for the brand, LINDBERG said thintanium is named after thin titanium strips it developed for the collection. The look is almost rimless, but maintains the stability of a full titanium front, the brand explained, adding that “the designs weigh as little as 3 grams – so you might even forget you’re wearing them.” Already, the LINDBERG thintanium collection has won two design awards: “The Red Dot: Best of the Best,” an impressive acco

Kendall Jenner’s Favorite Summer Basics Will Go on Sale for 72 Hours

When Kendall Jenner posted a photo of herself in a yellow bikini on her Instagram account last week, the image yielded some 6 million likes and 17,000 comments. Suffice it to say there is enormous interest in whatever Jenner wears, which is why German fashion e-tailer About You tapped the American model for an exclusive capsule collection for summer that includes that very itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny swimwear style. The range drops at midnight CET on July 25 for 72 hours only. A second collection is planned for fall 2021. “She is probably the biggest fashion icon and model there is right now,” enthused Donald Schneider, founder and creative director of Donald Schneider Studio in Berlin, who masterminded the collaboration and campaign for Hamburg-based About You, which operates e-stores in 23 European countries. “With her 174 million followers, her personality and her fashion style, she is a unique inspiration for the younger generation,” said Schneider, noting that many people tried to sou

On July 15, Kylie Cosmetics will debut its revamped products — which are now vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, and free of 1,600 other ingredients thought to be potentially harmful — alongside Jenner’s skin care brand, Kylie Skin, on a centralized website for the first time. Is Social Media Gen Z’s Most Trusted News Source?

For younger generations who have long looked to social media to learn new information, from cooking lessons to makeup tutorials, TikTok and Instagram are just the places to discover financial advice – according to new survey data from Credit Karma. In fact, according to the recent study conducted by Qualtrics on behalf of Credit Karma, 56 percent of Gen Z and Millennials intentionally seek out financial advice online or through social media with more than half of Gen Z respondents admitting they have taken financial advice from someone they didn’t know online. Across all social media channels, Instagram was revealed to be the top social platform sought out from financial information by Gen Z and second for Millennials, who were slightly more likely to turn to Facebook. Still, these advice seekers aren’t looking to just anyone. According to the report, 75 percent of those who have sought out financial advice say they follow specific social media influencers who create content relating t

Jill Fairchild Dies at 94

Jill Fairchild — who in her quiet way was as much of a force, and had as much of an impact, as her late husband John B. Fairchild, WWD’s legendary editorial director and publisher — died June 25 at age 94. They were a couple who perfectly complemented one another and who, at the time of his death in 2015, had been married 64 years. A slim, beautiful woman for whom the words “elegant” and “erudite” seemed to have been invented, when she walked into a room there was something striking about her quietly understated style and composed presence, even into her late age, that exemplified her father’s and grandfather’s military backgrounds. There was nothing flashy about either her clothes — a mix of famed designer labels and exotic finds — or her homes, which over the years stretched from New York to Nantucket, London to Gstaad. Yet everything — from the food to the flowers to the furnishings — was always just so in how they were arranged or served. She was, simply, a perfectionist, taking d

The Outside View: Fashion’s Rebirth in New York

“Dear Mister Fantasy play us a tune Something to make us all happy Do anything take us out of this gloom Sing a song, play guitar Make it snappy.”  — Steve Winwood, Chris Wood, Jim Capaldi   Yes, it’s time. Our country has managed to navigate this frightful pandemic better than most others, aside from our horrific death toll of 600,000. Despite this horrendous statistic, we have much to be thankful for. New York now has the lowest positivity rate in the entire country. And so we have begun to focus on a live New York Fashion Week once again. Or rather, American Fashion Week, as it is now being dubbed. As we’ve taken the global lead in combating the virus, we must now take the lead in the rebirth of fashion. We have the opportunity to demonstrate our strengths, and for so many reasons, New York City is the right city and it’s the right time for our incredibly talented designers to initiate the world to the unique and fresh perspectives we have always brought to the industry and hence to

Phoebe Philo Is Launching Her Own Fashion House

Phoebe Philo is returning to fashion with an independent, namesake house — and with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton as a minority investor. The acclaimed British designer told WWD she would create clothing and accessories “rooted in exceptional quality and design,” and would divulge more details about her new brand in January 2022. WWD broke the news in February 2020 that Philo had started planning a new collection and interviewing designers. According to market sources, she has had a small team working in London since late last year. One of the most revered — and bankable — designers of her generation, Philo most recently engineered a spectacular brand rejuvenation during a 10-year tenure at Celine, one of about 75 brands controlled by LVMH. Season after season, she minted womanly, modernist clothing and distinctive handbags, accruing an intensely loyal fan base. “Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” Philo said in a brief stateme

As Bolt Network Grows, Merchants and Consumers See Tangible Benefits

Online checkout experiences are frustrating, complicated and confusing. Shoppers are asked to fill out financial information from one site to another, and from brand to brand. That’s why industry analysts estimate that around 60 to 70 percent of consumers abandon a purchase at the checkout. With Bolt, the payment platform has made the checkout process simpler. Users download the app, and fill out their financial details once. There are no passwords or log-ins to remember, and as consumers shop from brand to brand, purchases are made with one click. What makes it work is that Bolt is a checkout platform, and not a plug-in. The platform also offers fraud protection and payment processing integration. And its one-click checkout connects users to a “unified cross-brand network” that is rapidly growing, the company said. It is this self-generating network that Bolt sees as a win for merchants as well as consumers. In a research report published by Bolt, the company said “what benefits consu

Sustainable Performance Fiber Solution Attracts Swimwear Brands

South Korea-based Hyosung is heating up for summer with its sustainable solutions that have popularized on the fiber front — and its take on sustainability takes form in recyclability and longevity. Its most recent adopters are swimwear brands O’Neill, which developed a line of women’s swimwear made with Hyosung’s Mipan regen nylon as part of its new O’Neill Blue sustainable collection, and Daze Dayz, a Korean-based brand well-known for its ’70s-inspired retro style with a modern look and feel, which developed an “extensive” swimwear line made with Hyosung’s regen polyester, created from recycled bottles. Hyosung’s 100 percent recycled Mipan regen nylon and regen polyester is made from reclaimed waste, and both fibers are recognized and certified by the Global Recycled Standard of the Control Union in the Netherlands, and lauded for their energy-saving benefits and saving of valuable natural resources. Fashion’s Future, Now

During the peak of last year’s pandemic outbreak, there was soaring demand for online shopping and related services such next-day delivery, buy online, pick-up in-store and curbside pick-up. COVID-19 also spotlighted the importance of sustainable practices as consumers woke up to the fact that the choices they make when shopping can negatively impact the environment. These two themes were the top news of WWD last year, and while many retailers and brands made investments in digitalization and stepped-up efforts to be more sustainable, the fashion industry still has a long way to go. To shed light on where the industry is now, and where it’s headed in regard to digital optimization and sustainability, Miles Socha, International Editor of WWD, moderated an in-depth session, which was done in partnership with Frankfurt Fashion Week, titled, “Fashion’s Future, Now.” Holger Max-Lang, President of Northern and Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Middle East at Lectra.  Courtesy Image. The 10 Best Perfume Oils for a Lasting Fragrance

Fragrance is a key part of personal style, no matter if you like to mix it up with a scent wardrobe or you’re committed to a signature scent. Whether you prefer a gourmand, a floral, a citrus or some spice, no matter what kind of perfume you gravitate toward, you simply want it to stick around. That’s where the best perfume oils come in. Simply apply a few drops to your pulse points and the scent will stay with you much longer than a typical eau de parfum. That’s because oil-based scents tend to be a lot stronger, but stay close to your body, making them more personal as well. The oil base allows for a more concentrated scent that deepens on the skin over the course of the day, making them less prone to fading. Plus, since perfume oils don’t have an alcohol base, that makes them much better for sensitive skin. Start a new fragrance journey by giving one of these best perfume oils a try. 1. Solving Fashion’s Ill- Fitting Size Problem

Finding shoppers styles that fit was an issue solved long ago, or at least addressed, by store fitting rooms. But with e-commerce only continuing to solidify its place as the preferred channel for shoppers coming out of a pandemic, size has once again become the elephant in the room – or, perhaps more accurately, consumers simply not knowing what size to order has become the elephant in the room. One of the most problematic issues inconsistent sizing causes online is retailers suffering a massive rise in return rates. In addition to receiving many returns from unsatisfied customers who ordered a size that did not fit properly, returns are also common from customers who practice bracketing, or buying two or more sizes of an item to ensure a proper fit by mimicking the in-store try-on experience. Though even if the shopper finds an item in the order to fit well, the best-case scenario for a bracketing shopper still ends with a return. Nearly half the time, customers who don’t find the ri

The centerpiece of the online reveal will be an appearance by BTS, who signed on as Vuitton ambassadors last April with a promise of “exciting projects” to come. Each member of the supergroup will wear one look in the film by Korean director Jeon Go-woon. “The film stages a conversation between space, movement and global connectivity central to our moment in time, and explores the city of Seoul through the lens of diversity,” according to Vuitton, noting that the soundtrack will feature an original score by CIFIKA, Kim Kate and Net Gala. “Seoul has such a unique energy and BTS embody this vibe completely,” Abloh said.
