Nicole Kidman brought balletcore back in full force with her Chanel look at the 2026 LACMA Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Oscar-winning actress and Chanel ambassador wore a design from the French luxury fashion house’s spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection curated by creative director Matthieu Blazy. The dress was a study in contrasts, with a fitted bodice designed with rounded shoulders and three-quarter-length sleeves and frayed cuffs and a frayed neckline.

From the slightly dropped waist, the dress transitioned into a high-low tulle tutu with varying shades of beige that complemented the muted top. The voluminous skirt included some tiered elements at the high-low hem. Kidman’s look, which was curated by stylist Jason Bolden, was capped off with minimal jewelry pieces and a set of sandal slingback black pumps with a square toe.
Kidman’s 2026 LACMA Gala look was hot off the runway, having debuted in early October as part of Paris Fashion Week. Blazy’s spring 2027 curation marked “the year’s most successful brand revival,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
