Penélope Cruz, Jessie Buckley and ‘The Bride’ Cast Merge Dark Glamour With Contemporary Edge at London Premiere

The leading ladies of “The Bride!” forewent their Gothic styling and opted for dark glamour on the red carpet of the film’s London premiere on Thursday night. Jessie Buckley, Maggie Gyllenhaal and more styled looks by Maison Margiela and Schiaparelli, among other designers, homing in on the Gothic aura of Gyllenhaal’s latest directorial feat. The two-time Oscar-nominated actress wore a sheer gown from Maison Margiela’s Artisanal 2024 collection by John Galliano. Lauded upon its debut during Paris Fashion Week in January 2024, the collection evoked theatricality, captured in this one look worn by Buckley. The sleeveless sheer black dress featured a flowing skirt and mostly fitted bodice. Beneath the sheer material, Buckley wore a corset for added silhouette definition. As for accessories, the actress wore jewelry pieces by Jessica McCormack. Her hair was styled by Jenny Cho with makeup provided by Nina Park.
