Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton Helped a One Tree Hill Fan Propose, and It's So Freaking Cute

Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush recently reunited for a One Tree Hill event and ended up making one fan's dreams come true in the process. During the charity event "Weekend in Tree Hill" in North Carolina, the former costars helped a superfan named Alison Briggs propose to her girlfriend, Cydney Childers. After meeting with Hilarie and Sophia and snapping a photo, Alison got down on one knee and popped the question as the entire room erupted with applause.

"Ten years ago I discovered One Tree Hill and it changed my life," Alison wrote on Instagram. "A lot of people don't seem to understand that, so I always tell them about how it comforted me in my darkest hours, and how it gave me a place to call home. But four years ago I joined the One Tree Hill fandom and met you, and now when I tell people about how One Tree Hill changed my life, I'll tell them about how it led me to you💍💗." Aww! She added, "It's hard to hear but I asked Hilarie what her favourite quote from the show is and (as planned) she said 'Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls.
