Coach Dawn Staley channeled the metallics trend during the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament National Championship on Sunday in Cleveland. Staley saw her team, the North Carolina Gamecocks, defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes and take home their third winning title. She also added on a pair of black sweatpants and jeweled hoop earrings. “I’m so incredibly happy for our players,” Staley told ESPN following the Gamecocks’ win. “It doesn’t always end like you want it to end, much like last year.” In 2023, Iowa defeated South Carolina in the Final Four. Since then, however, the latter team hasn’t lost a game.
