Lady Gaga Revives Her Dramatic Fashion Roots in Sculptural Corset Dress and ‘Cocoon’ Lace Look at ‘Chromatica Ball’ Film Premiere
Lady Gaga went back to her artistic, avant-garde roots with her look for the “Gaga Chromatic Ball” world premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday. The Grammy winner joined Scott Evans onstage after the fan screening to discuss the project and showed off a second look for the evening. For her red carpet attire, Gaga wore a sculptural piece by Berlin-based Argentinian designer Selva. The ornate piece featured a laminated white muslin calico cotton one-shoulder corset dress with holes stenciled into the fabric of the skirt. Lady Gaga A white lacquered shoulder sculpture made of discarded car parts framed Gaga’s shoulders and torso for a wholly unique aesthetic with futuristic elements. Gaga paired the intricately designed piece with platform, lace-up boot stilettos and opted for minimal jewelry, keeping her garment the centerpiece of her entire look. Gaga’s raven-black locks were styled by Frederic Aspiras, with makeup that included bold eyes and pop of red lip by Sarah Tanno. The Grammy winner’s entire ensemble was curated by Hunter Clem.
