Sheer Looks Were Trending on the Red Carpet at the 2023 Emmy Awards

Sheer fabrics dominated the spring 2024 runways of Brandon Maxwell, Chanel and Balenciaga, among others: now, the celebrity set is swiftly following suit. At the 75th annual Primetime Emmys on Monday, stars including Selena Gomez, Ellen Pompeo and Kathryn Hahn sported see-through styles, bringing one of 2023’s biggest trends into the new year. Ahead, see the best sheer looks at the 2024 Emmys. Kathryn Hahn Kathryn Hahn at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Jan. 15 in Los Angeles. Hahn opted for a sheer ruffled blouse and an embroidered tea-length skirt featuring floral appliques. The actress accessorized her ensemble, which came from Christian Dior’s spring 2018 couture collection, with a pair of By Far black pumps. Sophie Bille Brahe provided Hahn’s diamond jewels. Jordan Johnson Chung, whose other clients include Sandra Oh, Anna Kendrick and Kiernan Shipka, styled Hahn for the Emmys.
