The 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, premiering on Monday from Los Angeles, will feature a number of celebrities who have previously attended the show and walked the red carpet in custom looks, designer pieces and opulent fashion. From Keri Russell in Armani to Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan, the star-studded award show has a history of memorable fashion moments. While fans wait for their favorite stars to show off their elevated sense of style at this year’s event, they can take a brief look through the show’s archives for fashion inspiration. Ahead, WWD is taking a look back at what some of the 2024 nominees wore to one of their first Primetime Emmy red carpets. Keri Russell, 1999 Keri Russell Keri Russell is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her role in “The Diplomat.” Her first Primetime Emmys appearance was at the show in 1999 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, where the actress shone in an icy blue strapless Armani dress. Aubrey Plaza, 2009 Aubrey Plaza Aubrey Plaza is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role in “The White Lotus.” Her first Emmys appearance was at the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards
