On Wednesday evening, Roger Vivier celebrated the opening of its uptown boutique with a store cocktail, followed by an intimate dinner at New York’s current “It” restaurant, Le Veau d’Or. The night was attended by Sarah Paulson, AnnaSophia Robb, Pat Cleveland, Ines de La Fressange, Ella Hunt, Ivy Getty, Sergio Hudson and Vivier’s Gherardo Felloni, who mingled in the restaurant’s upstairs cocktail area post store party and pre dinner. “I feel so honored to be connected with a legacy brand like this, and we were talking earlier, Gherardo and I, about how Roger Vivier used to make shoes for Marlene Dietrich. The story of the brand is one that represents strength, powerful women, strength in women, and women that are sometimes older than the average in terms of people represented by brands,” Paulson said. “The stuff is so classic, so chic always.” Paulson had opted for a pair of the brand’s gray low block heels — and as a testament to their comfort, “I’m a person who always brings a second pair of shoes in the car.
