Brigitte Macron Continues Her Nautical Style Streak, Queen Mary of Denmark Puts a Feminine Spin on Business Attire for Royal Visit to France

President Emmanuel Macron of France and Brigitte Macron played hosts to King Frederik X of Denmark and Queen Mary of Denmark on Monday in Paris. France’s first couple greeted the Danish royals at the Élysée presidential palace for King Frederik and Queen Mary’s official visit, focusing on renewable energy, healthcare, defense and culture. For the occasion, both Queen Mary and Brigitte Macron followed suit with particular pieces evocative of their respective styles. Queen Mary of Denmark wore a soft cream skirt suit, with a midi skirt and a coordinated jacket. Queen Mary’s jacket featured such details as three buttons running down the front placket as well as sharp, sinuous lapels. The Danish royal also wore a diamond and pearl brooch, adding a touch of sparkle to her subdued, serious, though feminine, attire. Queen Mary accessorized her look with black and white pumps, along with a black headband. She also carried a black top-handle handbag to complete the look. As for Brigitte Macron’s attire, the First Lady of France continued her nautical-inspired style streak. (L-R)
