Emma Stone Elevates the Bubble Hem for the ‘Bugonia’ Premiere at 2025 Venice Film Festival

Emma Stone brought a streamlined iteration of the Y2K bubble hem trend in a custom Louis Vuitton dress to the red carpet for the premiere of her forthcoming film “Bugonia” at the 2025 Venice Film Festival on Thursday. The red carpet occasion prompted Stone’s stylist Petra Flannery, who also works with Zoe Saldaña and Kerry Condon, to dress the two-time Oscar-winning actress in a shimmering design courtesy of the French luxury fashion house. Emma Stone Earl Gibson III Stone’s sleeveless dress featured jewel-encrusted thin straps with a square neckline. The bodice of the garment was fitted and featured contrasting silver and white sparkling embroidery in an angular design for juxtaposition. The high waistline of the dress gave way to a tiered effect with a bubble hemline. Bubble hemlines are seeing a resurgence, thanks in part to the rise of Y2K-inspired street style and trends across fashion.
