Zendaya spun a dark web in an Ashi Studio couture look for Monday night’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” Los Angeles premiere.

The Emmy-winning “Euphoria” actress, who was styled by longtime collaborator Law Roach, wore a gown from the luxury label’s fall 2026 couture collection — a black gown with a plunging neckline, voluminous knee-length skirt and flowing train.
Fabric ruching on the skirt created an accordion effect, with the dark material gathered for a dramatic juxtaposition to the structured, streamlined bodice. The top of the dress was sleek, defined by wispy antennae rising from the bodice cups.

Speaking to Variety, Roach described the Ashi Studio design as “an abstract way to present the spider,” adding to speculation about the message behind Zendaya’s method dressing throughout the press tour and whether the designs could hold clues to her character MJ’s fate. The gown’s inky palette and tendril-like details also evoked the Venom symbiote. In Marvel Comics, Mary Jane Watson became Venom’s host in 2025, though the films follow a separate continuity and no connection has been confirmed.
