From fashion to interior design, Marta Ferri, 34, infuses every project she develops with her signature touch. Ferri, the daughter of fashion photographer Fabrizio Ferri and interior decorator Barbara Frua, is an ambassador of Italian — and more specifically Milanese — style in the world. It is no coincidence that Matchesfashion.com chose her to develop a capsule of dresses, launching in February, “reflecting my vision of how to dress when receiving at home,” Ferri said. After four years spent in New York working as a set designer and assistant photographer on fashion shoots, followed by a stint at Prada as a visual merchandiser and the launch of a jewelry collection during a sojourn in Argentina, Ferri presented her first collection of dresses in her hometown of Milan in 2010. Timeless and elegant, they were mostly crafted from fabrics specifically designed for interior projects. In the span of a few seasons, Ferri started to focus on bespoke styles and became one of the go-to designers for special occasions. Beatrice Borromeo, the sister of Ferri’s husband Carlo Ludovico Borromeo and wife of Pierre Casiraghi, Charlotte Casiraghi and Margherita Missoni are among her VIP clients.
