Up-and-coming actress Ryan Destiny made her Dior Couture debut this week in Paris, taking in the latest collection from the brand. Destiny, who is best known for her role in Lee Daniels’ Fox series “Star,” will be seen this Christmas in Amazon MGM’s biopic “The Fire Inside,” in which she portrays boxer Claressa “T-Rex” Shields. The film is written by Barry Jenkins and tells the story of Shields, who became the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing and the first American boxer (male or female) ever to win gold in back-to-back Olympic Games. Destiny’s portrayal has been called one of the “most anticipated movie performances of 2024” by Variety. With the fall bringing premieres and awards season events, it only makes sense to start things off fashion-wise at Paris Couture. Styled by Scot Louie for the Dior Couture show, the 29-year-old wore a “timeless Dior” look that had her feeling “sultry and feminine.” For glam, Destiny worked with Hos Hounkpatin on hair and Naima Bremer for makeup. “The hair was its own character.
