Florals for spring may not be groundbreaking, but we’ve got some news that is: come October 24, the long anticipated musical adaptation of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ will come to London’s West End, and we have all the details you need to buy tickets. Vanessa Williams will be stepping into the heels of Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine that Meryl Streep played in the 2006 film. In a statement to Variety, Williams had this to say: “Bringing Miranda Priestly to life in the West End is an absolute dream come true. Gird your loins, folks.” This isn’t the first time the Streep and Williams have played the same roles on stage and screen: Williams played The Witch in the 2002 Broadway revival production of “Into the Woods,” with Streep going on to play the part in the 2014 film adaptation. Both earned nominations in their mediums, with a Tony and Oscar nomination, respectively.
