Mariah Carey Goes Sheer in Schiaparelli Dress to Receive Global Impact Award at Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective Event
Mariah Carey was honored with the Global Impact Award during a gala event organized by the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective on Thursday in Los Angeles. The singer showed up for the occasion in a sheer look created by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli’s couture fall 2023 collection. Mariah Carey The dress, which features a copper corset bodice and a matching flowy skirt that transitions into a dramatic tail, debuted on Schiaparelli’s runway with model Adut Akech. Carey, whose stylist is Wilfredo Rosado, accessorized the dress with sparkling pumps and diamond jewelry. Adut Akech walks the runway during the Schiaparelli couture fall 2023 show. Roseberry defined the collection as a work “about fantasy, this is about escapism, and as much as possible and as close as we can get, this is about truly fine art,” as previously reported by WWD.
