Kate Middleton took school mum style and elevated it in an Emilia Wickstead dress for 13-year-old son Prince George‘s first day at Eton College on Tuesday in Berkshire, England.

Joined by her husband of 15 years, Prince William, the Princess of Wales’ dress was subdued and elegant. Middleton sported a bespoke forest green midi dress by the British designer, created with long sleeves, a square neckline and flowing skirt.
The silhouette of the dress was given further definition with a cinched waist and a belted element that defined the shape. As for finishing touches to her school drop-off style, Middleton added jewelry pieces and footwear that augmented the refined approach to Tuesday’s look.

Middleton wore a pair of pointed toe Gianvito Rossi pumps in a dark shade of brown, and accessorized with earrings courtesy of Cartier and a necklace by New York City-based designer Laura Lombardi.
Emilia Wickstead is a designer who has long been in Middleton’s royal wardrobe rotation. The subdued green dress served as a transitional piece, marking the end of summer and ushering in the forthcoming fall season, without detracting from the significance of the moment.
