Here’s something you might not have known before: Each year, 1-800-Flowers, a leader in fresh flower delivery services, announces a Flower of the Year and Plant of the Year. Today’s reveal for 2026 follows closely on the heals of Pantone’s controversial Color of the Year pick — the airy, nebulous, and all-white Cloud Dancer. Now, horticulturalists and amateur green thumbs, much like their color-obsessed counterparts, can also ring in the new year by embracing the latest cultural “It” thing, all while blessing their abodes with instant color and positive energy. The flora that will reign supreme next year, according to 1-800-Flowers? The delphinium and the money tree. While the former is a vividly blue (or lavender) flower that shoots up to the sky in vertical fashion, so eager it is to meet the sun’s warmth, the latter is a well-known symbol of wealth and good luck according to ancient feng shui traditions. Michael Urie Is in His Dreamy Era

“It’s been a dreamy couple of years,” says Michael Urie on a Friday afternoon phone call, just hours before a performance of his latest Broadway show “Once Upon a Mattress” at the Hudson Theatre. These dreamy years have also been busy ones for the star, who rose to fame for his role as Marc St. James on the sitcom “Ugly Betty.” Now, Urie stars in the hit Apple TV dramedy “Shrinking” alongside Harrison Ford and Jason Segel — season two premieres Oct. 16.
