Metallics, sequins and shiny embellishments stole the show at LACMA’s twelfth annual Art + Film Gala on Saturday night in Los Angeles, with stars like Paris Hilton, Salma Hayek and Jessica Chastain sporting sparkly garments. As reported by WWD, metallics are one of this season’s top trends. Labels including Valentino, Fendi and Balenciaga, among others, sent sparkling capes, gowns and suits down the runway during their fall 2023 couture presentations. Jessica Chastain Jessica Chastain attends the 2023 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Nov. 04 in Los Angeles. Chastain’s silver halter-neck Gucci column gown came adorned with beaded fringe. The actress also opted for accessories by the Italian label, which included chandelier earrings and a metallic chain strap purse baring the brand’s trademark horsebit. Salma Hayek Salma Hayek attends the 2023 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Nov. 04 in Los Angeles. Hayek’s rose gold Gucci frock featured gradient sequins and a short train. The actress accessorized with a silver handbag (also by Gucci) and asymmetrical Boucheron pink gold earrings embellished with diamonds.
