Getting Ready for the Premiere of ‘Blink Twice’ With Star Naomi Ackie

“I woke up quite fresh actually,” says Naomi Ackie from the glam chair, the morning after the premiere of her new movie “Blink Twice.” “It was just so good to see the film with an audience.”  “Blink Twice” is very much a movie to be seen in a theater, surrounded by people gasping and laughing around you. Zoë Kravitz‘s directorial debut, the movie — originally called “Pussy Island” — stars Ackie as a woman working a catering gig when she meets a wealthy tech billionaire (played by Channing Tatum) and accepts his offer to come to his private island. Ackie was prepping to portray Whitney Houston in the 2022 movie “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” when she got the script for Kravitz’s movie from her agents.  “I was holed up in my flat in London just trying to figure out how to make this character work, and I got an email from my agents being like, ‘hey, Zoë Kravitz wants to talk to you about this film called ‘Pussy Island,’ and I was like, ‘oh, that is the coolest title for a film ever. While both shows feature Urie in showstopping musical numbers, he never considered himself to be “very musical.”  Michael Urie in “Once Upon a Mattress.” “Doing a musical at all, it’s still a pinch me thing,” he says. “I fell in love with theater because of musicals…[but singing] didn’t come naturally to me.”  Urie con

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, WWD may receive an affiliate commission. While there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a fresh manicure, constant trips to the salon can become super expensive. This cost can make it hard to motivate yourself to try new things, and just generally prohibitive. That said, recently there have been tons and tons of press-on nail options popping up on Amazon. These are not the cheap press on nails from the early 90s; these are high-quality, durable and perhaps most importantly, absolutely beautiful. Amazon Prime members will get free shipping in just two days, so they’re the perfect option for those looking to throw on some nails before a big event or last minute gathering. Since they’re all attached with glue, they are super easy to apply. You simply dab a small amount of the provided glue onto the inside of the press on nail and place it on your real nail. To remove, just soak them in acetone for up
