New retail concepts and body-inclusivity were prevailing themes at this year’s June Atlanta Apparel Market held in Atlanta. Holiday and Game Day styles were presented across seasonal collections that included denim and shoes for fall, as well as summer immediates. Exhibitors reported “strong” appointments prior to the start of the market and the firm said it has continued to see a rise in attendance at its educational events at the show. The event underscored its offerings in resort and “design-driven” accessories and clothing collections, in addition to an expanded Shoe Studio and its ready-to-wear offerings. The company said its Atlanta Apparel’s Accessories collection pulled in double-digit growth for lines new to the Atlanta area, including Beaded by Meg, Belsi’s Jewelry, Cecelia Designs Jewelry LLC, Double T Sales, Ettamarie’s, Great American Sock & Glove, Helene Thomas, LeMel, Marli and Lenny, ReadeRest, Spirit Hoops and Zola B Designs, among others. The market featured Atlanta Apparel’s largest-ever Now young contemporary collection, which included 1 Capsulle for All, Allie Rose, Blues & Greys, IAM Apparel,Inc, SIA Apparel, Tea & Cup, Thyme Apparel and White Birch.
