The one and only Selma Blair has been busy lately, first on duty during the Tribeca Film Festival as a jury member and then as a front row regular in Paris, for the Ami show during men’s fashion week and then at the couture shows of Balenciaga, Schiaparelli and Jean Paul Gaultier. She also celebrated her 52nd birthday in town, at the Vogue World event no less. “It felt like the whole world conspired to throw me a party,” she said. For the Ami show, which Blair described as “the Paris style adored by everyone,” she requested “long wavy hair, editorial hair” and her hair stylist Paul Jones worked his magic. Fashion-wise, she opted for a tailored coat. “The fit of this coat as a dress was perfection. The gloves, the hair, the petite bag, all very polished. Parisienne conviction of style. Well earned,” she said. “I love a glove but I took them off at a party and they remained long after I did, to my horror. Sorry Ami Paris. I hope someone is loving them.
