Monica Barbaro Keeps Summer Dressing Short and Sweet in Trochopoulos

Monica Barbaro brought designer George Trochopoulos’ sense of summer fun to Tuesday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City. The dress, cinched together in the back, created an illusion effect as contrasting red and white stripes narrowed at the waist. Evoking sultry summer nights, the George Trochopoulos sleeveless design included a micro hemline that recalled the polarizing late 1990s and early 2000s style that appeared on both the runway and in retail, igniting a cultural debate around the trend.
