Venus Williams Brings Lacoste’s Tennis Whites and Power Dressing to the U.S. Open

Venus Williams took the court on Sunday night for her first round match at the U.S. Open Grand Slam tournament held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Sunday night in New York City. The seven-time Grand Slam champion was defeated by fellow U.S. tennis player and Australian Open 2020 champion Sofia Kenin. Venus Williams Getty Images Upon walking out onto the court, Williams showed off her power poncho — a gray, white and fuchsia garment with a zipper front placket and pleating throughout, which created dimension and an overall billowing effect. It also added a color contrast to her Lacoste tennis dress. Under the warm-up outerwear, Williams sported a sleeveless white tennis dress with large pleats on the skirt and some sheer fabric near the neckline. Williams’ wristbands and visor coordinated with the dress, and each element was embossed with the small green crocodile logo.
