Queen Mary of Denmark Rings in the New Year in Coordinated Jesper Høvring and Lasse Spangenberg Regal Look

Queen Mary of Denmark gave royal regal dressing a new level of elegance in combined pieces by designers Jesper Høvring and Lasse Spangenberg for New Year’s Day celebrations at Christian VII’s Palace in Copenhagen on Thursday. Denmark’s queen consort wore an ornately, delicately crafted lace top by Copenhagen-based designer Spangenberg, featuring long flowing sleeves with a cinched cuff and a high neckline complete with sheer fabric and botanical inspiration throughout. Another Denmark-based designer, Høvring’s skirt is a favorite of Queen Mary’s and has been worn by the royal on other previous occasions. With a champagne tone, the skirt complemented the sheer, delicate fabric of Queen Mary’s lace top. A belt at the waist added further silhouette definition to the overall look, elevating Queen Mary’s attire from regally royal to modern elegance.
