The sheer trend isn’t going anywhere: just take it from the red carpet at this year’s Video Music Awards, held at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Tuesday. See-through styles were all of the rage at the BET Awards and the Los Angeles premiere of “Barbie” earlier this summer, too. Now, superstars like Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and Karol G are trying out the trend, taking cues from the runways of LaQuan Smith and Rick Owens, among others. Dressed by her longtime stylist, Brett Alan Nelson, the singer also wore sheer Amina Muaddi pumps and diamond jewelry by Balenciaga, Maria Tash, Yessayan, Yeprem and Nicole Rose.
